Isis

Isis San Miguel is an elegant and graceful competitor, a thoroughly prepared instructor and the 2011 1st Place MBC winner!  As an instructor Isis encourages her students toward challenging goals with tangible results.   She is currently Suhaila Level 2 certified working towards a Level 3.  She’s also certified in the Teacher Training Certification with Virginia in Miami, FL as well as an Integral Yoga Teacher I and II.

Isis has a ballet background as well as jazz and theatre.  It was while she worked in the theatre district in New York (as well as theatre in Eastern Europe) that she discovered belly dance with Serena at Serena’s Studio in NY.  Later on Isis studied with Yousry Sharif who led her to Virginia in Miami, FL.  She was the principle dancer in Virginia’s Wa Nour Al Ayoun for five of the 8 years Isis studied with her.

Isis is the current People’s Choice Winner for RakStar 2011 and the 2011 1st Place title winner for the Miami Belly Dance Convention.  Isis is also the 2010 Wiggles of the West Entertainer of the Year as well as the 2010 Belly Dancer USA!  Her other awards are too numerous to list!
